Hellenistic History Through Art

Hellenistic art gives a glimpse into the culture and lifestyles of the time.  The art itself incorporates many different subjects and styles.   Today, many antique dealers sell various forms of Hellenistic art , including this Hellenistic Core-Formed Alabastron, in deep cobalt blue with mustard yellow, for $15,500.  It is cylindrical in shape and was used for a holding liquids, such as perfumed oils.
